How to get there :

Fuerteventura Airport  (closest city: Puerto del Rosario)

Flights from major European cities available. Best connections are almost every day direct flights on  cheap charter airfares.  Airfares approx. 200-350 Euros per return ticket. Contact airline direct i.e. Condor, LTU, Hapag Lloyd, or ask your travel agency.
Flights through Madrid (one to two direct flight per day, general Fuerte-airport-information-phone: +34-928-860-702) are based on normal airfares since there are no charter flights from Madrid to FUE and the fares are usually more expensive. Good offers are available at:

Iberia ( www.iberia.com , Fuerte-airport-phone.: +34-928-860-510)

or

Spanair ( www.spanair.com , Fuerte-airport-phone.: +34-928-860-840, 24h-reservation-phone: +34-902-131415)

For direct flights through England contact: Sportif, London, Tel: +44 1273 84 49 19 e-mail: sportif@compuserve.com  or website: www.sportif-uk.com

Best connections:

Airport to location approx. 80 km, rental cars at airport available; best (and most economic) contact addresses will be transmitted shortly. Make sure to reserve rental cars in advance since they are usually sold out on this time of the year.

There will be an airport shuttle bus for riders staying at Hotel Sol Elite Gorriones. The shuttle bus will be on July 29 at aproximately 6:00 PM.

Airport to Site: After leaving the airport-area you reach a round-about, there you start heading to the south indicated by village-names like Gran Tarajal and Moro Jable for about 65-70 km, see red-colored roads in the map.
When you reach the village Costa Calma you will find a first large round-about, just pass it straight through, comming to a second large round-about after about 1 km, pass this also straight through, leaving Costa Calma and heading further to the south. After about 3-4 km you will find on your left hand side a road heading towards the sea-front, there you have to drive first to the right into a small-half-round-about, leading into the road to the sea-front by crossing the main-road. This road brings you directly to the Hotel Sol Gorriones with a large parking-area in front of the main-entrance. To come to the World Cup-tent, where you can store your equipment, just keep left passing by along the hotel-building, reaching a dirt-road on your left hand side which will bring you directly to the spot.
